I have worked as a school counselor for more than 20 years. The first 3 years I served the students of Carver Elementary School. In 2005 came to Mary Munford where I have been serving ever since. I have attended schools across the Midwest and the east coast and graduated from Denbigh High School in Newport News, where my father retired from the U.S. Armed Forces. I have 3 children with my husband of 34 years and we are proud to say that our children all received their early education from Richmond Public Schools. It is my pleasure to help foster growth in the areas of academic achievement, social emotional needs, and career education to all the Monarchs at Mary Munford Elementary. I enjoy doing this through classroom guidance, individual and small group counseling, and even as the SCA supervisor. I look forward to several more years working to help make positive differences in the lives of our students. RPS School Counseling Student Services Mission Statement The mission of Richmond Public Schools (Pre-K-12) comprehensive school counseling program is to support students in the areas of academic, career, and social/emotional development through a proactive student-centered curriculum designed to develop the whole child.
